Dr Baker was a Councillor for the Haematology Society of Australia between 1993-99 and President of ASTH from 1997-01, the RCPA Haematology AC from 1999 and the MSAC invited expert since 2003. He is a clinical haematologist with special interest in adult clinical haematology, obstetric haematology and thrombosis and bleeding disorders.
