Kate is a Perth local and completed her medical degree at the University of Western Australia. She commenced her anatomical pathology training in Adelaide before joining the WA state training program, rotating through multiple public laboratories and WDP. She joined WDP as a consultant pathologist in 2017 and became Head in Department in 2025, having previously acted in the role on multiple occasions. Kate is experienced across general histopathology and both gynae- and non-gynae cytology reporting, and has special interests in breast and gastrointestinal pathology, participating in multiple multidisciplinary teams in these areas.
