This test is designed to help assess your likelihood of having oesophageal adenocarcinoma (a type of oesophageal cancer). For people living with chronic reflux symptoms, the test may provide additional information that helps doctors determine whether further investigation may be appropriate. The result is intended to support clinical decision-making alongside your symptoms, medical history, and other assessments.
However, this test does not diagnose cancer, rule out cancer with certainty, replace an endoscopy when one is clinically required, or determine the cause of your symptoms. Like all medical tests, results should be interpreted by your doctor in the context of your overall health and any other investigations that may be needed.
