Kate is a Perth local and completed her medical training at the University of Western Australia before spending time as a junior doctor at Royal Perth Hospital. She commenced her specialist pathology training with SA Pathology in Adelaide before returning to Western Australia where she completed her training as part of the WA state program, having rotated through several sites including QEII Medical Centre, King Edward Memorial Hospital, Princess Margaret Hospital and Western Diagnostic Pathology. She joined Western Diagnostic Pathology as a consultant in 2017.

Kate enjoys all aspects of histopathology and cytopathology, with special interests in head and neck, breast and gastrointestinal pathology.
