Dr David Paton graduated in Medicine from the University of Glasgow in 2010, having been awarded the John Hunter medal and Physiological Society prize. He undertook Anatomical Pathology training in Western Australia, and maintains a wide interest in histopathology and cytopathology. He enjoys teaching, and is Adjunct Clinical Senior Lecturer in Pathology at Curtin University. Since qualifying he continues to develop his special interest in skin pathology, and undertook a six month European dermatopathology fellowship in 2019 under the mentorship of Asok Biswas, UK, and Bostjan Luzar, Slovenia. He is a member of the Australasian Dermatopathology Society, and is currently working towards sitting for the UK Royal College of Pathologists Diploma in Dermatopathology.
